Account Deletion
You can initiate full account deletion inside the app.
In-App Path
Leave → Settings → Account → Delete Account
What Is Deleted
Leave removes or revokes account-linked data such as login credentials, profile media owned by the account, active push tokens, live locations, friend links, blocks, notifications, and account-owned media. If you are the only active member of a trip, that trip and its trip-owned content may be deleted.
Shared Records
Shared trip records may remain for other active trip members. This can include chat, notes, tasks, expenses, settlement records, itinerary items, documents, and photos. Your profile is anonymized as a deleted user in those shared records.
Legal Retention
Some purchase, security, support, tax, accounting, or legal records may be retained when required or reasonably necessary. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups expire under the production database backup schedule.
Timing And Reversal
In-app deletion starts immediately after confirmation and signs you out. The deletion process is intended to be irreversible. If deletion fails or you believe data remains incorrectly, email privacy@leave.app.
